2008
The preparatory travel seminar focuses on research related to the semester in Europe. The Berlin Semester Abroad program is open to students from within the College of Design that have finished their first year of study by fall 2008.
The seminar is a combination of film screenings, short lectures, student research presentations and discussions.The film seminar as well as short lectures and introductions will be led by Prof. Rozenberg.
Focus of the seminar will be research in preparation of the semester abroad. This research will be developed in an online format throughout the semester with Prof. Nalbach, and challenge the methods and collage of visual and textual material.

Film Seminar:
discusses narrative structures and techniques of collage, montage, juxtaposition, etc., and apply the discussed as part of the film assignments.

Individual assignments will introduce students to films such as

will introduce several online media techniques to provide tools for an interactive documentation and presentation of research prior to the semester abroad, such as

I’ve seen it once before, but it was a while back so I will view it again and make comments.
